You have the right to remain silent.  Use it!  Officers are trained in conducting investigations for the benefit of prosecution and/or resolution of an alleged crime.  Officers are also trained to lie.  Many times no evidence exists, leaving the statements and actions of the accused, which are then interpreted by the officer conducting the investigation for prosecution and/or resolution of an alleged crime, as the deciding factor for a Jury to determine as to guilt or innocence.
If someone you know is facing criminal charges, please make sure that they consult with an attorney immediately.  You have the right to remain silent, so please use it based upon advice of counsel.  Lie detector are a prime example of same.  Many, if not all jurisdictions, do not permit the admissibility of lie detector indicators as to truthfulness at Trial, but do permit into evidence any incriminating statements that the accused may give to the detective giving the lie detector.  So, the accused may pass the lie detector based upon the opinion of the detective giving same, but no such opinion will ever legally be rendered in defense.  On the other hand, any incriminating statements that may be heard or interpreted as same by the detective giving the lie detector may be used against the accused for prosecution.
Each year the government cries wolf regarding the rights afforded criminals and each year further rights are violated.  To further make matters worse, 9/11 caused further support for sacrifice of liberties in exchange for perceived protections.  Years of fighting against people’s rights have created a government wherein exceptions eat up Constitutional protections and/or rules at the expense of the accused.  Settle without acting properly and further pitfalls await the party who never even asked to be in the unfortunate position of when their life became the after.  If the matter is not resolved, a Jury may even have to be empanelled to determine the facts and circumstances of the case.  Litigation is costly and the government may already have lawyers, detectives, officers, experts, and other employees and staff already working on acquiring their conviction.
Here we apply Mr. Dalayanis’ education, training, and experience in the Legal System to provide cost effective options to your legal needs no matter how great or small.
Call and protect your rights, it may already be too late!
